Upcoming Events at Amelia Shotgun Sports

Current Club Events

  • September 13, 2008 (Saturday) - First Annual Great Gator Shootout will be held at the club. This is a scholarship fundraiser to benefit Nassau County High School graduates who will attend the University of Florida, and is sponsored by the Nassau County Gator Club. This sporting clays competition will include prizes for high individual and team scores. Lunch and refreshments are included in the signup fee. Click here to download the signup form to participate.

We also have terrific sponsorship opportunities - this event is an investment in our community and one you don't want to miss! Up to 300 shooters from Florida and the Southeast are expected - get your business or product name in front of them by completing a sponsorship form now (click here for event sponsor form).

  • More updates coming soon - keep checking back!

Past Club Events

  • First Annual Member-Guest Shoot was held on Sunday June 8th 2008.

  • June 3rd – 8th -- S & S Stock Makers from Montana will be at our club to custom build the stocks your desire.  They will also repair or modify your current stock.  For additional information on this company or to schedule an appointment contact our General Manager, John Woolley at 904-631-1365 or email johnwoolley@bellsouth.net.

  • A special treat happened at our club during the period December 2nd – 8th, 2007. The famous Bob James of "Montana Long Guns" was here and helped members and guests with stock fittings. Bob makes some of the best stocks in the business. For additional information, call John Woolley at 904-631-1365 or johnwoolley@bellsouth.net.

  • We’re happy to report that we held our first sporting clay tournament, “The Hot Shot Hornet Sporting Clay Shoot.”  This was a fundraiser for the Yulee High School Football Team on Saturday morning October 20th 2007. A great time was had by all, and it benefited a great cause.

Private Instruction and Clinics Sponsored by David Dobson

Clinics are hosted at Amelia Shotgun Sports located in Yulee Florida. Instruction will run approximately 9:00am to 4:30pm each day with a lunch break.

Private instructional clinics can be held with a small group of shooters (2-4 people) or in a larger shooting clinic environment (for groups of 4-6 people). Contact David Dobson if you would like to schedule 1-on-1 training, or schedule a group of your friends for a private clinic.

Three Day Clinics Sponsored by John Woolley

Clinics
are hosted at Amelia Shotgun Sports located in Yulee Florida. Instruction will run approximately 9:00am to 4:30pm each day with a lunch break.

Clinics are for groups of 4-6 people, preferably near the same shooting ability, but this is not required. Contact John Woolley if you would like to schedule a group of your friends for a private clinic.

You will shoot an average of 300 to 500 shells per day. The cost is $300 per shooter, per day, not including shells and targets.

This is a fun clinic where we shoot all day and usually dine together in the evenings at a local resturant. If you bring a non-shooter, there is plenty to do on Amelia Island with an old downtown shopping district nearby. Or if you'd like, you can enjoy walking, horseback riding on the beach or visiting picturesque Cumberland Island.

General Shooting Ability Classifications:

Beginner - Very new to shotgun sports
Hunter - Comfortable with gun but new to sporting clays
Intermediate - Shoot quite a bit, very comfortable but score around 50%
Competitor - Active Shooter, very familiar with the game. (Indicate Class)
Advanced - High scores, very competitive, just need fine tuning
